PARENT SESSION FOR INFANT BAPTISM
The next session for parents wishing to have an infant child baptized is Monday evening, Feb. 6, at 7:00 p.m. at McAleer Hall. Parents need to be registered members of Holy Family Parish. To register, call the Parish Office, 372-2127, or Shelly Hoenig, 372-9547.
SILENT AUCTION ITEMS NEEDED
The Mardi Gras planning committee (ARS Circles 2, 7, and 11) are in need of items for the silent auction. An item or monetary donation for this fundraiser can be dropped off at the parish office and would be greatly appreciated. All proceeds from the Mardi Gras go to the parish. If you would like to volunteer to help with this event please call Laura Merrifield 316-3697 or Rita Holtkamp 372-2592.
ALTAR & ROSARY SOCIETY
(A&R) Information
There will be a one hour general Altar and Rosary Society meeting today, Feb. 5th, in McAleer Hall from 1 pm to 2 pm. All ladies of the parish are encouraged to attend. General meetings are scheduled for the first Sunday of every month at 1 pm. The location rotates between McAleer and Roling halls.
Today's A&R agenda includes: refreshments and a presentation about St. Rita by Circle 2, final preparations for the Mardi Gras Celebration, planning for the March 17th and 18th A&R Rummage Sale (proceeds will benefit a local charity), and discussion of the upcoming April election of officers.
The Mardi Gras celebration is being planned by Circles 2, 7, and 11. Members of these circles are asked to please volunteer for this event as much as you are able. For more information call Rita Holtkamp (372-2592) or Laura Merrifield (319-316-3697). Also, the more volunteers the merrier! Volunteering for this event is not limited to Circles 2, 7, 11 call Rita or Laura if you can help. We are in need of dinner servers to work from 5pm to 7pm that night. Parish teens are especially encouraged and welcomed. This is a great way to fulfill service hours.
The A&R Rummage Sale is just around the corner. Donations can be dropped off at the parish office during working hours or call Teresa Panther (837-6225) to schedule a pick-up/drop off.
Just a reminder… members of Circle 2 will be saying the Rosary at the Health Center on Thursdays at 3pm during the month of February. Circle 3 leaders should be asking for volunteers to say the Rosary at the Health Center for the month of March. Circle 11 is the next in line for our funeral dinner rotation. The next A&R general meeting will be hosted by Circle 3 on Sunday, Mar. 4th at 1 pm in Roling Hall. Ladies please mark your calendars.
